About the Diamant Diamant, a 101-foot square topsail schooner, provides the unique, fun-filled casual style known as "barefoot cruising." She accommodates an intimate group of twelve passengers in six air conditioned staterooms. All cabins feature portholes, ensuite bathrooms, and 110V outlets. Guests may choose a cabin with a double lower and a single upper berth, single upper and lowers, or two single lower berths.
Leave your everyday world behind, engage with sea, sand and sails. Discover the simple joys of sun-soaked days, wind-filled sails, and a gently rolling wooden deck beneath your feet. Begin your day with a casual breakfast with hot entree, fresh fruit, a Bloody Mary, followed by “Captain’s Story Time”, where you'll learn what fun is planned for the day: a shore excursion, beach stop for swimming and snorkeling, shopping ashore, maybe a beach barbecue. You can enjoy a bagged lunch while ashore, prepared for you by the ship's crew, or a buffet lunch if you choose to relax aboard. Complimentary draft beer, wine and soft drinks are available all day.
You can lend a hand to hoist sails, or take a turn at the helm. Diamant's friendly island crew will teahc you about the ship, the islands, and the culture of their people.
In the late afternoon, your crew will serve rum punch with an assortment of snacks. Dinner may be a casual buffet or a sit-down dinner, in the saloon or on deck, but never formal, and no need to dress up. After-dinner activities may include trivia contests, movies, talent contests, or dancing under the stars to live local musicians or recorded music. You’re free to bring your own spirits on board and mix up a tropical drink or favorite cocktail.
Enjoy the most relaxing vacation of your life aboard Diamant, in true barefoot windjammin' style.
