About the Sea Cloud II
Sea Cloud II is a luxurious 3-masted Barque, spreading almost 30 thousand square feet of canvas in more than 20 sails. Sailing on her is an experience unto itself, taking you back to the tradition of "hand-sailed" square-rigged tall ships. You'll thrill as you watch nimble crew members climb hundreds of feet in the rigging, setting and trimming sail.
This romantic tall ship is herself an intoxicating destination. And this is not an exaggeration by any means. Just ask anyone who’s been on board to witness the breathtaking beauty in her polished teak decks and seemingly endless billowy sails. There’s an exhilaration that’s almost hard to describe – and this is your luxurious home for your voyage.
Sea Cloud II offers her select few guests spacious staterooms and suites, each with its individual charm and deluxe amentities. The Owner's Suites have decorative fireplaces, natural woodwork and nostalgic marble baths with gold fittings. The Lounge provides comfortable seating in rich mahogany surroundings. The ship offers little retreats: the sauna/firness room, an intimate library, a sun-filled salon.
While life aboard is indeed elegant, it is informal; dress is casual, even at dinner. And dinner is a congenial, elegant personal event, with no assigned seating, so you can mingle as you wish. The menu has a touch of nouvelle cuisine, enhanced by authentic local flavors, with lots of fresh fruit and locally harvested seafood. Complimentary fine wines and beers are served with lunch & dinner.
Throughout your voyage Sea Cloud II's staff of naturalists and historians will share their knowledge and enthusiasm, and you can learn from the crew and officers how a tall ship is sailed.
